It was issued to Kentucky Home Guard troops who were assigned to protect the supply lines of the Union Army under General Sherman's command. 5,000 made. Action is tight. No rust. Only some minor stock scratches. Lock works perfectly. Unusual loading system. Everything operates perfectly including the loading mechanism. Expected handling marks.
